Women's Lacrosse: Goalies

Junior Abbie Gallagher posted her thirty-ninth appearance in the conference final, moving into third by herself in team history for goalie appearances. She also surpassed 1100 minutes and will take 1,150 into her senior season.  Sophomore McKenna Graf appeared in ten games this year, a season best. She has 322 minutes in 19 appearances heading into her junior season.  Freshman Alyssa Rosenfeld wrapped up her first season with 114 minutes in six appearances.

Women's Lacrosse Updates

Heading into the Conference Carolinas title game, there are a few games played milestones worth keeping an eye on: Junior goalie Abbie Gallagher has appeared in thirty-eight games, tying alumnus Carter Moore for third in terms of games in goal. Maddy Meyers is currently second with 49 while Julia Darroch and Rachel Robb share the program record at 55 appearances.  Senior defender Gwenyth Gibbons is tied atop the program record books for games played, as she's suited up 74 times. If she appears in the title game it will be the seventy-fifth appearance of her career, which will be another career record reset in 2023-24.  She's also set season bests for games (19) and starts (18) this year. 

Softball Updates- the 100 Club

Senior infielder Hannah Carey has become the second 2024 softballer to join the 100 Club- she's tallied starts in all 101 appearances.  She joins Trinity Aycock, who joined the club earlier this year. 

Softball Top Ten Update- Strikeouts

Softball Top Fifteen Update- Hits

With 107 for her career, senior Hannah Carey is now fourteenth, dropping alumnus Kristan Lizardi (101) to fifteenth.  New Table 13th Place: 133 (Biz Walters) 14th Place: 107 (Hannah Carey) 15th Place: 101 (Kristan Lizardi)  *Stacia Williams, with a 100-hit career that ended in 2015, drops out of the top fifteen. 

Softball Updates- the 100 Club

Junior infielder Trinity Aycock has officially surpassed 100 games for Mountain Lion softball- she currently sits at 101 appearances and 78 starts. And senior infielder Hannah Carey finds herself just steps away from that mark, with starts in all 96 of her appearances thus far since joining the Mountain Lions from Montevallo. 

Women's Lacrosse Updates

Sophomore attacker Jess Sujishi is having a high-improvement season: after just 1 start, 0 goals and 4 draw controls last year she has 7 starts, 3 goals and 15 draw controls this year.  Junior attacker Ally Cattoni has now appeared in forty games with double-digit appearances in each of her three seasons.  Junior attacker Ashlyn Fraley has steadily increased the number of starts she's gotten each year: five as a freshman, thirteen last year and fifteen this year. With 51 goals so far this year, this is her first 50-goal season.  Sophomore midfielder Mary Troyer has fifteen starts in sixteen appearances this season after tallying four starts as a freshman.  Senior midfielder Ella Hancock has 125 goals in her 63-game career, including a career-high 46 this season. She's now fourth in team history.  Senior defender Gwenyth Gibbons reached the 70-games plateau during Wednesday's outing and has now appeared in 71 games, tying alumni Rachel Lepine and Leigh Anne...

Women's Lacrosse Record Watch: Career Caused Turnovers

Senior Kinsley Purser has caused 63 in her 60-game career, which is the new fourth-best mark (third is Kelsey Dover with 73). Classmate Ella Hancock has tallied 61, which is tied for fifth with Jaclyn Kernohan. 

Moving up the Record Book: Women's Lacrosse

Spotlight: Junior goalie Abbie Gallagher Gallagher currently has 16 starts, including a career-best 10 so far this season. Carter Moore is fifth with 19.  Gallagher currently has 994 minutes, including 510 so far this year (her first 500-minute season). Carter Moore is fifth with 1,465.  Gallagher currently has 132 saves. Carter Moore is fifth with 205. 

Updates from the Weekend- Men's Lacrosse

With a career-best 24 assists this year, junior Tommy Chriszt has now dished out 68 for his 43-game career, putting him in second in team history. The program record is held by Bevan Pate, who tallied 74.  

Updates from the Weekend- Women's Lacrosse

Senior midfielder Ella Hancock now has 116 goals in 61 games, which is the new fifth-best mark in team history. Jaclyn Kernohan currently sits fourth with 123 scores.  Junior goalie Abbie Gallagher appeared in her thirty-third game over the weekend and is tied for fourth in team history with Sarah Nudelman. Carter Moore sits third having appeared in 38 games.

Updates from the Weekend- Softball

Junior Kylie Ferguson tallied her 300th inning pitched and currently stands at 309.2- Jeannie Perrucci currently sits third with 357.  Ferguson has also faced 1,481 batters in her career and is just seven shy of moving into fourth- alumnus Katie-Jo Gentry faced 1,487 over her career.  Ferguson's third win so far in 2024 was the twentieth of her career, moving into fifth by herself. Dharma Rosbrugh and Jill Dixon are currently tied for fourth with 22 apiece.

Softball Updates

Senior infielder Hannah Carey is in the 80-games club for Mountain Lion softball, as she's started all 82 of her appearances. Her 68 runs is fourteenth all-time while her 21 homers is fourth. Runs Scored 12th Place: 76 (Chandler Stooksbury) 13th Place: 75 (Grace Botti) 14th Place: 68 (Hannah Carey) 15th Place: 65 (Maddie Urquiola)  Junior infielder Trinity Aycock has joined the 90-games club for Mountain Lion softball. Sophomore infielder Bailee Brown tallied her seventy-fifth game, sixty-fifth start and sixtieth run scored.  

Women's Lacrosse Update #3

Senior midfielder Ella Hancock is now a member of the 60-games club for Mountain Lion lacrosse, and she celebrated that by moving up a bit in terms of career ground balls.  She's now fourth with 134, two back of alumnus Hannah Sacristan for third and six back of alumnus Erika Cross for second.

Sophomore goalie McKenna Graf has two milestones this season: With six appearances on the year, she's now at fifteen for her Mountain Lion career. She surpassed the 200-minute barrier and now has 211. 

Women's Lacrosse Update

Junior goalie Abbie Gallagher is putting together the best season of her Mountain Lion career.  *She's 5-3 this year after going 1-6 as a sophomore. *She has nine starts in twelve appearances about midway through the season after six starts last year.  *She's a member of the 900-minutes club with 944, which equals just under sixteen hours protecting the goal. This also extends her season-best for minutes, as she has 461 and counting this year after 371 as a sophomore.  And a career games update: 3rd Place: 38 (Carter Moore) 4th Place: 33 (Sarah Nudelman) 5th Place: 32 (Abbie Gallagher) 

Women's Tennis Updates

*Keep in mind this is through Monday's match against Lees-McRae. Senior Catarina Marcko Ferreira tallied her seventy-fourth competitive dual match against Lees-McRae. Alumnus Oriana Labaqui has the current record since 2015-16, at 75.  *It's also worth noting that Catarina has eighty-four appearances total for the Mountain Lions after the LMC match (74 duals, 2 tournaments and 8 cross-country meets)  Junior Meghna Mallath tallied her fiftieth competitive dual match earlier this year and has 56 and counting, extending her seventh-best mark since 2015-16.  Sophomore Simone Mercier , with 37 and counting, is now tenth over that same time span.
