Women's Lacrosse Notes

Junior defender Ella Clifford appeared in her fortieth career game Wednesday against Southern Wesleyan.  I erred in a recent blog post where I said that Ashlyn Fraley is fourth with 126 goals. Fraley is currently fifth and fourth as of now is Ella Hancock with 139. Mary Troyer has 151 draw controls, which is currently sixth all-time. Fifth is Mary Deatrick with 158 and fourth is Kinsley Purser with 161. 

Men's Lacrosse: Records Watch #1

Senior defender Ben Soenen has picked up 238 ground balls in his 58-game career, extending his third-best mark. Second on the list is Jacob Haas, who tallied 316.  Senior goalie Dylan Wilbur , who's the team record-holder for minutes, games played, starts and saves, has tallied nine wins in his 52-game career, which is tied for third all-time with Bobby Parker. Second on the list is Mason King, who won sixteen games in his career.  Senior attacker Tommy Chriszt has tallied 69 goals and 85 assists in his 56-game career.  He's third all-time for goals, recently moving past Chandler Bradley (66). Second all-time is Bevan Pate with 93.  His 85 assists, meanwhile, is the team record. 

Women's Lacosse- Records Watch #2

Senior attacker Ashlyn Fraley has tallied 126 goals in her career, which is the new fourth-best mark all-time. Third on the list is Taylor Greenberg with 153 while second is Kendra Parenteau with 184.

Senior goalie Abbie Gallagher ... ...Has 1,502 minutes in goal, extending her fifth-best mark. Fourth on the list is alumni goalie Sarah Nudelman with 1,647.  ...Has 199 saves. Fifth is Carter Moore with 205, while Sarah Nudelman is fourth with 228. ...Has 50 appearances in goal, which is now second all-time. Current assistant Rachel Robb and Julia Darroch currently share the top spot with 55 appearances.  ...Has 26 career starts in goal, which is one shy of tying Nudelman for fourth all-time. Third is Maddy Meyers with 29.  ...Has 13 wins, which is now third all-time, surpassing Nudelman. Second is Robb, who won twenty games in her career. 

Women's Lacrosse Updates

Junior defender Ella Clifford , who's one game away from forty entering the game today, has a new season-high for caused turnovers (eleven after eight last year and five as a freshman) and has twenty-four along with fifty-eight ground balls.  Senior attacker Jess Sujishi , through eleven games, has reset her season-highs for goals (with six after four last year), assists (five after two last year) and points (eleven after six last year) and has tied her season-high for starts (ten). She has ten goals and eight assists in forty-two games.   Senior attacker Ashlyn Fraley has ten starts in eleven games this year, giving her three straight seasons of double-digit starts. Through sixty-three career games, she has 122 goals.  Junior midfielder Mary Troyer , who has thirteen goals this year, is two shy of resetting her career-best for goals in a season. Softball Updates

Twenty-six games into her junior season (85 total), Shelby Duncan has already set season bests for runs (22 this year and 45 total), hits (39), doubles (7), triples (the first two of her career), homers (four), RBI (16) and steals (11), among others.  Maddy Brady has significant improvement in her sophomore season: 19 games instead of 10 (29 overall so far) and the first twelve starts of her career.  Jess Jaruszewski is having an impressive senior season: her 23 games is a season high, surpassing her 22 appearances as a sophomore, and it puts her over eighty career appearances (currently at 81). Five of her eight career doubles and three of her four career homers have come this year. With 26 hits and 13 runs this year, it's her first twenty-hit season and first double-digit-runs-scored season. Women's Lacrosse Goalie Update

Senior Abbie Gallagher has forty-nine appearances in goal heading into Wednesday's home game against Southern Wesleyan, which is tied with Maddy Meyers for second in team history. She also has 1,465 minutes (just over twenty-four hours), which is tied with Carter Moore for fifth. Fourth: Sarah Nudelman (1,647) Third: Maddy Meyers (1,847) Second: Rachel Robb (2,390) Top: Julia Darroch (2,723) After forty-six minutes on Saturday, junior McKenna Graf now has 578 minutes (a little over nine-and-a-half hours) in 27 games. Her 255 minutes this year is a career best.  *If you're curious, the current overall goalkeeper minutes record across any sport at Young Harris is 4,610, held by alumnus Alex Iglesias of men's soccer. 4,610 minutes is equivalent to just under seventy-seven hours.

Women's Basketball: Minutes Update

At the conclusion of her junior season, Lily Griffith has tallied an impressive 2,356 minutes through 89 games. Her 2,356 minutes is now eighth-most in women's basketball history at Young Harris and she needs just nineteen to move past Carly Winters, who has 2,375. *The women's basketball career minutes record is held by Lauren Smith with 2,920.
