Unpacking the Action- Wednesday, February 15th

The men's basketball team fell to North Georgia, but Karl Chavis set an impressive milestone, as he's now started all sixty of his appearances for the team. His 60 starts puts him by himself in sixth place on the program's NCAA-era all-time list.

The women's lacrosse team fell 18-9 to nationally ranked Embry-Riddle but the scoreline isn't the only notable thing about the game. Ella Hancock retook the season scoring lead with 9 after a four-goal haul, with her final goal being the fiftieth of her career. Fifteenth on the all-time list is Aubrie Valvo with 54.
All three goalies saw time in the cage with Maddy Meyers appearing in her thirty-seventh game in goal. She's now two shy of moving into third all-time in that category (Carter Moore appeared in 38 games in goal while Julia Darroch and Rachel Robb each appeared 55 times).

The softball team split their games against Lee University, winning the first and losing the second. Despite the split, the Mountain Lions return from Lee 2-1 across two sports after the baseball team won 9-5 on Tuesday. Kylie Ferguson recorded her 28th career pitching appearance in the opener- one shy of tying for fifteenth in the program's NCAA-era history- and Jill Dixon tallied her 57th in the nightcap, extending her sixth-place mark.

The women's basketball team not only swept the season series against North Georgia for the first time in just under a decade, but Mackenzie Johnson set some milestones. She not only reset the career rebounds record with 770- in four fewer games than the previous record-holder- but recorded the team's first 400-point-season since 2016 and fourth in team history (and the third to do it, joining Ladondra Johnson and Meredith Tarver) with twelve points on the day. She has 403 points on the season and 923 for her 87-game career.
