Weekend Update: Saturday, February 4th

Men's Lacrosse
The season opener was a 19-10 loss, but several people stood out.
Junior Wyatt Peek scored three goals with sophomore Tommy Chriszt contributing two. Both have now scored 26 goals.
In his twentieth game, junior Jacob Haas contributed eight ground balls (111 total) for game-high honors and added sixteen faceoff wins for 193 in his career (North Greenville as a team won fifteen faceoffs).
*With 111 career ground balls, he's ten shy of surpassing Kerry Ostrowski (120) for fifth-most in team history.
Sophomore Ben Soenen scooped three ground balls and caused three turnovers.
Young Harris as a team held NG to one score on nine extra-man opportunities.
In goal, sophomore Dylan Wilbur turned away eighteen shots, giving him 222 for his career and moving into third all-time, surpassing Bobby Parker's 217 saves in a career that ended in 2014. Second-most all-time is Sean Dever with 286.

Men's Basketball
Sophomore Karl Chavis has started all 56 appearances, and his 766 points is eleventh on the men's side. He needs just six points to move into the top ten and surpass Seth McCoy.

Senior Lenny Pradia is a perfect 21-for-21 on starts this season and has now appeared in 43 games (not counting appearances with the developmental team). With 144 varsity assists, he's moved past Bryson Robertson (139) into eighth in the program's NCAA-era (Ben Waterhouse, with 165, is in seventh).

Softball
Two pitchers recorded milestones in the season-opening doubleheader against Shorter. Sophomore Kylie Ferguson was the second pitcher used in the opening game and was credited with the win- the tenth of her career- after tossing four-and-two-thirds innings in the circle. This was her twenty-fourth pitching appearance for Young Harris (Karli Timms, with 29 appearances in the circle, is fifteenth).

Senior Jill Dixon pitched the final one-and-one-third innings in what was her fiftieth appearance, extending her seventh-best mark in team history. She's just six shy of surpassing current assistant coach Sam Davis for sixth place.

Women's Basketball
Junior Mackenzie Johnson continued her torrid scoring streak against Clayton State, as she's now at 875 points across 84 career games. She's currently fourth all-time, just ten points behind Briana Bell and the only person in the current top five for career points (Peyton Robertson is now fifth) with less than 90 games played.
Her 84 appearances, ladies and gents, moves her past Sarah Reid and into the top ten in that category.

Classmate Kalen Surles, meanwhile, moved past Sara Jorgensen with her 82nd appearance.
