Baseball v. Southern Wesleyan on Tuesday (Mar. 28)
The 11-1 win was buoyed by a strong pitching performance that yielded just three hits- of the eight SW batters with at least two at-bats, five were held hitless.
Second baseman Ethan Underwood was 2-for-3 with two runs scored and a walk. The two runs gave him 121 for his career, moving past alumnus Tucker Greer and into eighth in the program's NCAA-era. Zach Bricknell is currently seventh with 130. The walk was the seventy-fifth of his career, moving into sixth by himself and past Adam Moore, who drew 74 over his career. Spencer Thomas, with 77, is currently fifth.
And his two stolen bases give him 31 for his career, tying Spencer Thomas for fifth.
Right fielder Rome Wallace also moved up the record books with his four-RBI game, as he currently has 108 in his career. This is good enough to place him ninth, moving past Josh Rudnik. Eighth on the list is Logan Worley, who drove in 111 runs during a 182-game career that ended last season.
It's worth noting as well that both of his hits were doubles- two of the four for YHC on the day.
Jeremy Begora's lone hit was a triple, his first of the season.
Marco Colina was 2-for-4 and drove in two runs.
Both Drew Bray and Jarrett Ford recorded two runs each.
