News and Notes- Wednesday, March 22nd

Despite the baseball team's one-run loss at Lincoln Memorial there were several notable stats from the game. Senior Ethan Underwood appeared in his 150th game for the team, with his two walks moving him into seventh in the program's NCAA-era with 72 and his two runs scored extending his ninth-best total to 116. Sophomore Jeremy Begora had a career day at the plate: 3-for-4 with a homer, two runs scored and four driven in. Sophomore Marco Colina scored three runs as part of a 2-for-4 day while fellow sophomore Jayden Carbonell-Smith went 2-for-4 with a double. Freshman Ryan Cross was the standout on the mound, as his four innings led all pitchers and his four strikeouts tied for game-high honors with LMU's winning pitcher Colin Murphy.

The men's lacrosse team defeated Emmanuel College on the road in OT 12-11, picking up their second win of the season and snapping a two-game losing streak. Both of their wins this year have been in overtime as they're 0-8 in regulation. Wyatt Peek led all players with a game-high four goals while Tommy Chriszt- playing in his twenty-fifth game for the team- tallied three goals. Jacob Haas won 13 faceoffs and scooped six ground balls (including the 150th of his career), extending his third-best career marks in both categories to 277 and 152, respectively.

Here's where Chriszt's now 34 career goals rank all-time:
6th: Jayden Campbell (59)

8th: Matty Ledon and Ryan Ningard (56)
9th: Conor Leies (47)
