Notes from Saturday, March 4th
Men's Tennis: Junior Eric DelValle competed in both dual matches against Belmont Abbey, with the second match being his fortieth competitive dual match appearance.
Women's Basketball: Junior Mackenzie Johnson set a record for most points in a season after 32 in the Peach Belt final against Georgia Southwestern gave her 525 points in 2022-23. This is the first 500-point season in program history and it demolishes the previous record of 498 set in 2013.
Baseball: Senior Rome Wallace's third run scored in the first game of the day against Georgia College was the ninetieth of his career. Classmate Ethan Underwood's run scored in the second game was the 108th of his 141-game career, putting him into a tie for tenth with alumnus Nick Sexton.
Women's Tennis: After missing four matches, sophomore Yureni Gomez returned against Belmont Abbey in what was her third appearance of the spring season and picked up her first dual singles win of 2023.
Women's Lacrosse: Junior Gwenyth Gibbons moved into eighteenth in program games played with her forty-fifth appearance, moving past alumnus Jade Smith; junior Maddy Meyers extended her second-place mark for goalie games played with her fortieth; junior Ella Hancock now has 165 draw controls after the Rollins game, extending her third-place mark; junior Kinsley Purser's first draw control of the game was the ninetieth of her career and she currently has 92, which is the new eleventh-best mark in program history.
