Sports historian is an interesting career
One of the things I've been working on is an Individual Appearances Database which looks at every Mountain Lion sport since 2011. As part of that, I'm able to determine sport-by-sport career appearances records- Jill Torres, for instance, holds both the softball and overall record with 244 games, whereas Jackson Jones' 204 appearances is the current baseball record.
As part of the Individual Appearances Database, I've started a Top Five list for career games played in baseball- which has changed since I've looked at the 2011 roster (specifically with regards to the top three marks).
The new second-best mark belongs to David Atwood, who appeared 197 times between 2011 and 2014. He finished up with a career average of .317 while his 97 walks remains third-most in team history.
The current third-best mark is Jack Morrow's 193 appearances, also between 2011 and 2014. Even nearly a decade after his playing career finished up, he remains the team record-holder in doubles, total bases and RBI.
