News and Notes from the First Nine Days of April
Baseball
Senior second baseman Ethan Underwood continues to climb the baseball record books.
His 146 hits is tied for fourteenth with current assistant Dahlton Cash (Zach Wall's 185 is tenth).
His 131 runs scored is the new seventh-best mark, moving past Zach Bricknell (sixth is Jackson Jones with 142).
And his 80 walks extends his fifth-best mark, which was previously held by Spencer Thomas with 77. Dom Wyshinski, with 86, is currently in fourth.
Men's Lacrosse
Junior faceoff specialist/midfielder Jacob Haas already has possession of the third-most career ground balls across both teams with 178 but he can set another milestone later this season, as he needs just 17 to move past Zac Barrett and into second on the men's side.
Women's Lacrosse
Junior Kinsley Purser was only able to tally one goal in Saturday's game but it was her thirty-fifth of the season- extending a season high- and the 76th of her career (Hayley Bartlett's tenth-best mark of 82 is six away). With 60 assists, which moves past Anna Luckie's 59 for fourth, she now has 136 career points, which ties Rachel Lepine for eighth. And with 192 draw controls, she needs just five to move into second in program history. Kinsley Purser, with 117, is now tied for seventh.
Softball
Welcome to the 100 Club, Shea Bayreuther! The junior infielder tallied that milestone during the solo game against North Georgia on Sunday, April 2nd and currently has 103 appearances.
